Pumpkin Patch Pickin
Sunday we took a drive to a local farm that is selling pumpkins and other farm fall produce (which does not include apples, the apple growing season around here is early spring). They had some animals to feed and a scavenger hunt around the farm. There was supposed to be a hayride but with all the rain we had on Saturday the ground was soggy and muddy, so no hayrides. Which was fine by the kids, we borrowed some wagons and trekked out onto the farm in search of the perfect pumpkins. The kiddies had fun trying to pick out pumpkins to bring home for Halloween. All in all it was a good outing, despite the inch of mud caked on the bottom of all of our shoes.

Chesapeake Childern's Museum
Yesterday (Sunday) we took the kids to the Chesapeake Childern's Museum. It's this great little indoor, outdoor museum all dedicated to children's learning. There are several different themed rooms, and small animals to play with. There was also a nature trail that lead to a bridge (over some pretty stinky water) that had lots of ducks that we fed Cherrio's too, and of course there was a small playgroud. The museum looks like it use to be a house, but each of the rooms has lots of activites for the kids to do. Olivia liked to dress up like a princess and a doctor, Steven loved to play with the trains (of course) and they both got a kick out of painting pictures. They have already been asking to go back there. Other than that nothing too interesting going on, we took Steven Saturday to get his hair cut, but that didn't work out too well. He cried and wouldn't hold still so we left. We'll try again later, for the mean time I will have to keep trying to cut his hair. Potty training is going slow, but I think we are making headway with Olivia. She seems to realize when she is going to have to use the potty but doesn't make it there in time. They'll get it one day (hopefully soone)
Other than that nothing new to report. The kids are looking forward to seeing all their grandparents at Thanksgiving, they want to go to Ohio now.
Love
